Engaged in the research and development of photovoltaic materials and devices for a long time, involving II-VI compound semiconductor optoelectronic materials and devices, single bandgap superlattice materials and devices with gradient bandgap, and other multi system wide spectrum low dimensional sulfur compound materials and devices; Led and participated in multiple national key projects such as 863、973、Natural Science Foundation of China, and Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Support Plan; Participated in the construction of China's first pilot production line and component production line for cadmium telluride thin film solar cells with independent intellectual property rights; Published over 50 academic papers and applied for more than ten national patents.

长期从事光伏材料与器件的研发，涉及Ⅱ-Ⅵ族化合物半导体光电材料与器件、具有渐变带隙的单带差超晶格材料与器件以及其他多元体系宽光谱低维硫属化合物材料与器件等；主持并参加了多项国家重点863、973、自然科学基金以及四川省科技支撑计划等项目；参与建成我国第一条具有自主知识产权的碲化镉薄膜太阳电池中试生产线和组件生产线；发表学术论文50余篇，申请国家专利十余项。
